Girly girly girls

I’m trying to grow out Charlottes fringe, it’s getting longer, but she wouldn’t let me tie up her hair until a few weeks ago. I had to cut the very front of her fringe, and hope like hell the sides start to grow. So random, on the temples she has bugger all hair.

Anyway, she lets me tie up her hair! I didn’t realise how hard it is to do someone else’s hair. o_O Doing my own is no problem, I’ve been doing it for years. It’s so much easier when you can put your hands behind your head and just not have to look. But tying up another person’s hair is so difficult. Especially when they don’t really like to sit still, and as soon as you brush it and get it up they grab the hairbrush and brush their hair and make it all messy >_<

I hope her hair gets thicker like mine, it’ll stay up better. At the moment it’s quite thin and is more like Mum’s and Abbeys hair, which is thin and stuff, doesn’t tie up very well, falls out of clips etc. Thick hair all the way!

Anyway, this was our first attempt at tying it up in pigtails and I think it’s really cute -_-

Such a little angel -_-

Y’know, I think I would like a son, I wouldn’t get to do his hair, but it’d be nice.

Shoe shopping, me? Nooooo

Okay, maybe just a little bit ;) But give me some credit, they had a MASSIVE sale at the mall. So I got four new pairs of jandals. Which I DO need, for the summer :P And I got a good brand so that I would be able to wear them for a few summers. I don’t know if I’ll be near a NZ jandal store next year :P But no, they had buy-one-get-one-free on all jandals just for the night, so I got two and got two free. So I got pink, black, black and grey and purple. But they have patterns all over them and the black one has skulls, so I can be an emo jandal-basher.

Please tell me you know what jandals are…

Charlotte is only 19 months old and already she’s a size 6! So I had to buy her a new pair of sneakers (the whole point I went there) and I got these little small sketcher looking shoes, sooo cute. And she looks fab in them. And they are probably the most expensive shoes in the house. But it’s important she has well supported feet :P I still have this row in the cupboard of baby Adidas shoes -_- So cute.

And when I spent that much on shoes, what did I get? Any other pair in the store for $1 :o Oohhhhhh baby, I nearly wet my pants.

And look what I chose…

;)

(crap, my jeans are all worn out and Charlotte has a dirty face)

Now THEY are hot. And you’re probably going “EWWW THEY ARE BROWN/BRONZE, AND MADE OF GLITTER”. I already own red shoes, I didn’t want red ones. I think the colour is awesome and they go really well with some of my skirts and look great with black skirts and black pants. They even look quite good with dark jeans. But I wear black with jeans, or white. I don’t know, it depends on how I feel.

I love my new shoes. They are a nice healthy 10cm tall. And comfortable, which is the key. The only weird thing is when I’m wearing shoes this high (and I’m wearing 4” black today), my work desk is only just above my knees when I stand…

Mum said they were cool, the girl at the store was jealous because I took the last pair in the size she wanted. She has 80 pairs and said working at a shoe store was pure hell! I couldn’t have agreed more. We had a good talk about all the things we have in common.

And when I got home Dave called me a whore wearing whore shoes… O_O

Swinging on Judd Crescent

What a good walk this was! This is the park on Judd Cres, right across the road from where Dave grew up (just around the corner from where we live now). And we walked up Toomath and up the back to get to it. I tried to explain to Charlotte that the green house is where daddy grew up but she was more interested in the slide.

This playground has certainly grown since we were kids playing here (or hanging out smoking). We did lots of crawling through tunnels, sliding down slides and I am SO not putting up the action shot mum took of me falling off the playground! >_<

Here’s my cutie:

I had to give her a shoulder ride home, as she got really tired. We didn’t get back until 8.30pm and her bedtime is 7pm. Eek!

Some punkarse kids left the cover off a manhole at the back and it’s a LONG drop into the darkness down there. I tried to put it back, but it was too heavy. I hope nobody gets hurt or falls down and kills themselves.

Btw, KMFDM are innocent!

Riverside Drive walkings, ducklings and punk-arse kids

Charlotte and I went for a walk last night to where I used to live when I was in high school. Well, some of high school. I think I lived in about four different houses during my run at high school. Anyway, we went down to Riverside Drive and walked along Wyndrum Avenue. There are such nice houses there, flashy as feck.

There is a creek that runs along, and I though “Woohoo, we’ll see ducks”, because Charlie loves ducks. And sure enough we did. And we saw ducklings! So cute! -_-

That photo of Charlotte is SUCH a crack-up. I tried to get her to smile for the camera and I was grinning away and she obviously thought a smile was when you show your teeth of. It looks like she’s growling at me ;) Hahaha!

And about those punk-arse kids… We walked along Wyndrum Avenue to the Open Polytechnic and then turned around and came back. Only to find three young boys (approx 10 or ) right down by the creek throwing big rocks at the ducklings :O Charlie got upset and started crying. I yelled out “What the fuck do you think you’re doing, I’m going to throw some fucking rocks at you”, and then they ran away. I think those kids probably crapped themselves. I was going to beat them if caught them ;) You’d think young white rich kids would know better. Ugh, boys, so stoopid >_<

But the ducklings seem to be okay. Charlotte got over it. And this cool black cat followed us up the road and over the bridge. He was such a cutie. We gave him lots of cuddles. And that was all of that! Hooray for sunny weather.

Exciting Relative Randomness

WOW. What a busy week at work this week. Talking about hosting environments, DR, EPiSERVER, geeky things, content management, Intranet projects, EDRMS’s. All that totally geeky work stuff. I think this morning is the first time that I have been able to just sit at my desk and do some REAL work. I have a meeting from 10am until 12.30pm though – wouldn’t you know ;)

Wooot, so sunny. I hope I’ll get to go out at lunch and go for a walk. I plan to take Charlotte to the beach after work, that will be fun :) Danged if I’m taking retard Burton though. Never taking them both for a walk again, he’s a complete dork. (So dorky that I bet The Cars are his favourite band).

Here’s a photo I took especially for Hexie:

I’m a bit boring today. I’m just relaxing. And thinking about all the cool stuff that’s going to happen next year, it’s approaching so fast :O So exciting -_- Can’t believe there is less than two months to Christmas, and then a new year. And a new set of exciting adventures. WOOHOOHOO!

Summer ’95, those were the days -_-

This is probably one of the most awesome photos that I own.

That’s Dave, Glen and myself.

Dave is Dave, yes, Charlottes father. Look at how short he used to be, he used to ask me out a lot and I always said no cos he was so short -_- HAHA. He’s taller than me now though. That’s my wonky hair and wearing my Fox motorcross racing top. (I used to braid my hair to make it curly, now it just does it on it’s own >_<) Glen was my boyfriend at the time, my first REAL boyfriend (if you get my meaning), and we were together for years and years through high school. It ended under very suspicious circumstances, but we still talk. He lives around the corner.

Far out, we look so young. Glen was 16, Dave and I were 15. It was summer and I lived in Stokes Valley. We used to spend all our time bumming around the house and listening to loud music. Riding our BMX’s, motorbikes, talking about random crap. Innocence was bliss.

I just had to write about this, it was an awesome moment. Summer of ’95 was one time I’d definitely go back to :)

Boozy Taylor People

This is where it all started, that tendency to drink a lot. The first photo is my cousin Sussan stealing and drinking beer, the second is charlotte drinking someone else’s beer.

Yes, that’s me in the background (with severe bed hair) having a story read. I would have been about 4, so sussan would have been 2. And that is her mother (my Aunty Rae) going :o

Every other picture of me as a teenager my mother has contains me or my sister boozing it up. What a shocking family ;)

Isn’t it funny that the glasses are identical? o_O

A sunny Labour Day :o

It was so beautiful this Labour Day. That’s amazing because it ALWAYS rains on Labour Day. Needless to say we got the hell out of the house and went for a cruise with the cars. There were only two cars in this convoy but we still had a really good time. Ricky and his Supra (woot, went topless – the Supra, not Ricky) and we took the Mazda and our mulleted Neighbour Hayden.

We cruised around the Eastbourne Bays and went to the park. Then we came back down to the beach and just hung out and looked like a pack of bums. It was really hot, and it was nice for a change. Normally we freeze our arses off!

The cars went really well. That Supra totally pwns us, we finally met our match. I guess having an engine 2x the size with a hefty mother of a turbo on it kind of gives it an advantage.

I have some movies of us, but it has Hayden singing Bohemian Rhapsody, so erm.. ;) We’ll see about putting those on YouTube – HAHA! Woohoo!

Here’s a few photos, you can view the rest in the Picasa web album.

Wow, the wind is so strong out there that the barriers which were erected for the roadworks just blew over o_O and went up onto the digger they are using. I took some photos out the office window – never leave home without your camera! Trust me to leave home without my camera cable though eh, I’ll have to upload the photos when I get home.
