There are just so many photos I had to upload them to my Cars picasa album. Oh, it was a great day. Toooo stinking hot though! I had a wonderful day again Looking at all these brilliant cars. A few of them dave has worked on doing interiors n stuff. Also, his boss had a car there too, the Chevy Malibu. Nice car.

I totally loved the AC Cobra (even if it was a replica). What a bloody brilliant day.

Oh oh, got a new ute. Managed to score a twin-cab Toyota Hilux o_O 1995 so it’s one year older than my last one, and has had about $3,000 spent on it, so it’s got all new brakes, fuel lines, cv’s, clutch, tyres, rear bumper and a whole lot of other engine stuff. So it’s brilliant. A good score for a lot less than $3,000 too! It’s definitely who you know eh? The reason the old Hilux had to go was it was about to blow, you could tell Plus, a single cab didn’t work when you had a car seat and a baby. So we flicked it off before it died. Very excited, it’ll arrive in the next few days. Now I can just throw my bike on the back, yes, motorbike OR bicycle and go wherever I need to go. I don’t need to worry about taking off my mountain bikes wheels and all that crap and trying to fit it in the back of my Subaru. I should also add that my Impreza has impressive boot space, I can fold down the seats and fit in 2 mountain bikes AND 1 BMX. And that includes not being able to fold down the seat that has the car seat on it, plus the subwoofer box in the boot. So there you go, if you want a spacious Subaru get an Impreza, or maybe you should get a Legacy. I think a Legacy station wagon would have much more room. Plus you can get a twin-turbo one which goes pretty dang fast. Not quick, just fast. The B4 sedans are pretty damn hot; I’d love one of those. You know what this means though? It means that once the crank has been replaced and the engine put back into the Mazda it can go on Trademe and be sold. Yes, it’s going to be sold -_- The engine is new, was completely rebuilt and only went for 5000 km before the damn crank went. It’s being fixed under guarantee, but still, sucks eh. There goes more money being poured in. The engine had to be taken out and sent back to Nick’s up north to get repaired. It’s way fast, and a really special car, but it’s just a pain in the arse. It’s wonderful when it’s going, but ugh. Be glad to see the back of it. Hopefully someone from far away will buy it so we don’t see it driving around in the street and cry a lot and miss it and try and steal it back. I’d hate to see someone else driving it

I have a fun run coming up. I’m unsure if they have those overseas, well, I’m sure they do, but I don’t know what they call them. This is the 2008 Vector Wellington Round the Bays fun run. I am a Plunket supporter and collector so I do all the stuff at the malls for them and fundraising etc. So it makes sense that I should do the fun run eh. 7km isn’t that long anyway It’ll be on the 17th February. Should be awesome, there are normally a couple thousand people who take part And there is a huge party at the other end. I still am training for the duathlon in April too.

I’m finding it very hard to get anything done because of Charlotte. I get home at 5pm and I have to cook dinner, entertain her, play with her and by the time she’s had her bath, gone to bed, everyone is fed and everything is clean it’s like, 7.30pm. Then the last thing I feel like doing is going for a run or cycling, especially because I have eaten by then too. Maybe I need to be less lazy and just do it I guess I could do that sort of stuff in the morning and start work later, but then I wouldn’t get home until about 8pm and I would only get to see Charlotte on weekends, definitely not the ideal solution. I think I’m going to have to start training at night, but it’ll be winter and dark at that time soon. Better do as much while it’s still safe and light. Moan, whinge, not enough hours in the day, moan. It’s not Charlotte’s fault, I love to play with her and stuff. One day she’ll be old enough to do these things with me Then we can go for ice cream afterwards, to defeat the purpose

I shouldn’t have worn a cardigan on a day like today, I’m sorely regretting it. I only have a singlet top on underneath and I can’t really walk around work in a singlet, it’s not very formal. It’s a wife-beater one o_O if you don’t know what that means you should Google it. Oh well, rolling up my sleeves a bit helps and wearing bare feet cools me down some.

Back to work, time to update AP!

Here I am at approximately 1-1.5 years old trying to steal a mini, followed by me admiring this lovely red Porsche when I was 9 years old. I was probably drafting up a plan to steal it on that pad of paper there.

Don’t even get started on the red socks, or why I had them pulled up like that. I had absolutely NO sense of style when I was a child. Unlike kids nowadays who panic if they don’t get to wear what they want.

That mini was my mums. We were so dang funky. It made me draft up a list of cars that I have owned.

In 1997 I had to buy my mums Toyota Corolla off her because I wrote it off. It cost me NZ$3500. I got to sit next to it for one day as my car, but it sat on the car trailer the whole day, then went to the rubbish tip. It was a cool DX as well, mid 80s, in mint condition.

Same year 1997: bought my first Mini. It was just the round nose model. Was metallic blue, only went for about 2 months then died. I held onto it anyway, put it in the garage.

1997: I got my Nissan Sunny 1986 model. WOW. Gunmetal grey This car then got tuned at a performance car shop and went FAST. I owned that car until 2000.

1998: I bought a new Mini, it was a Mini Clubman. I kept both minis. The Mini Clubman went awesomely, and had widened rims and little fat tyres on it, this was grey.

1999: I got another round nose Mini, this was red. And another one which was yellow. I then took the lid off my blue one and turned it into a convertible, and then took it up the top of Norrie Grove and rammed it into a bank after doing some drifties. About a week later I got a Ford Escort from a mate for $50 and it had no petrol cap, so I drove it up to Tip Road and did some drag racing, and wrote it off, so I left it up there.

2000: I got rid of the red Mini. And got rid of my Mini Clubman. Kept the yellow one. Bought a green Holden, and painted it metallic purple. It had an OOSH engine, went like snot. It was an oldschool Holden Commodore, the classic mid 80s style. I painted it up, then trashed it for a few weeks. It didn’t last. Thank God the entire time I had my Nissan Sunny as my reliable and road legal car Ditched the Holden.

2000: bought a new Nissan Sunny as the body on my one was no longer WOF-able. Got a new Nissan Sunny for $200 which didn’t go, swapped my engine into it and huzzah, another year bought. At the end of 2000 it was getting kinda tired. Sold the Minis that was left.

So mid-2001: sold the Nissan, well, for free. Gave the Nissan to this hooker friend of mine and bought my Mazda Familia 1993 Interplay model. This was a great little car, went like snot – and my first nearly-brand-new car. It was only imported about 2 months before I bought it!

2005: 2 gear boxes and engines later I sold the Mazda Familia, and purchased my Subaru Impreza. Yay, Impreza ftw.

You can see the car I love most. The classic Minis are just PHAT! I really wouldn’t mind getting another one.

We cruised around the Eastbourne Bays and went to the park. Then we came back down to the beach and just hung out and looked like a pack of bums. It was really hot, and it was nice for a change. Normally we freeze our arses off!

The cars went really well. That Supra totally pwns us, we finally met our match. I guess having an engine 2x the size with a hefty mother of a turbo on it kind of gives it an advantage.

I have some movies of us, but it has Hayden singing Bohemian Rhapsody, so erm.. We’ll see about putting those on YouTube – HAHA! Woohoo!

Wow, the wind is so strong out there that the barriers which were erected for the roadworks just blew over o_O and went up onto the digger they are using. I took some photos out the office window – never leave home without your camera! Trust me to leave home without my camera cable though eh, I’ll have to upload the photos when I get home.

Good times, good times. Our car did good pwnd it on the first run, sat and spun peeling rubber on the second launch and got smoked by Freds WRX. What a nice WRX -_- He said I could buy it. I’m so tempted. DROOL.

Today I will present you with my journey as I exited the house. You’ll see that I had a problem getting to the car….

So needless to say, Charlotte woke up – as did half my neighbourhood as I proceeded to scream my lungs out (it was like when Spongebob couldn’t stop screaming). It’s too late in the day (well, it’s before 7am) to save it. And even if it wasn’t dead I would have found something big and hard to kill the fucker with.

Mum came out and saved me -_- She said it was dead so I got up close and took some photos, and put 50c next to it for comparison, but it came out blurry. i was all up close and Mum goes “oh, it can’t be dead, it’s not curled up”. BITCH. I had to go inside and change my pants pretty much. The spider is about 50-60mm long. Eww! If it wasn’t for my insane need to take photos of everything then I wouldn’t have even left the house until someone had moved the damn thing. And if it was alive and nobody wanted to move it, I would have called in sick (for real, honest).

The Supra was mega coolies. The stereo was so confusing that I just had to sing instead. I took that photo while crawling around taking photos of the spider.
